Paulina Komorowska-Birger, the current director of the Institute of Visual Arts, presented a self-ironic video installation at the exhibition, where she humorously addressed her daily role with distance. It is a witty but bitter story about the helplessness of the Sisyphean work of an administrative employee, who, instead of dedicating time to art and academic matters, has to deal with resistant bureaucratic matter. Vacation is just a pretense of rest, just as a pink ladies' handbag does not have to mean a lack of sophistication. There is no vacation from administrative problems. Even a seemingly innocent deckchair resists, ruthlessly reminding of the difficulties and failures that await the director at the institute after the vacation.
